July 28th, 2016 by Marc Comments

As we all know, Justice League Dark is set to become a DC Animated movie but before that Guillermo Del Toro was attached to direct a live-action DC Cinematic Universe version.

Now, last we heard Warners/DC wanted Colin Farrell to come on board the movie and play John Constantine, the ‘leader’ of the JLD along withMadame Xanadu, Deadman, Zatann, Raven, and Swamp Thing.

However, Del Toro had to leave the production and, in an effort to get the gig, Joseph Kahn, director of Toque and Detention, created a Swamp Thing costume to show Warners.

And the footage has been released by the director… and we have it below.

Now, it’s brief (eight seconds) but it certainly looks like he was on the right track for Swamp thing.

As far as we know the movie is currently on the ‘in development hell’ list over ar Waners/DC but we’re betting that, if Suicide Squad delivers, it could well be something DC will get behind down the line… we know it could definitely be something special.

Let us know your thoughts on the footage…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
