With the original Fast & Furious movie set to return to the big screen later this year to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary, star Vin Diesel has shared a new video on social media revealing he is on set and the (probably) last movie, Fast Forever, is officially in production.
In the behind-the-scenes video, Diesel talks about a few things, including his latest Riddick movie (give us a proper update on this, please!) and his long-in-gestation Kojak project, but he also thanks the fans for their loyalty to the Fast & Furious franchise after all these years.

Fast and the Furious 25th anniversary re-release trailer:
We’re taking it back to the streets. The Fast and the Furious returns to theaters August 21.
“I’m on set. People are grinding. Incredible crews are working,” Diesel say, adding: “I just wanted to take a second to say thank you. You guys are the best audience in the world, best fans in the world. You’ve been patient to the industry, you’ve been patient to the studio, and you’ve been patient with me. Over the past three and a half years, we’ve been grinding to try to make the most amazing finale.”
On the responsibility of tying up a quarter-of-a-century franchise that includes 11 movies – 13 if you include Better Luck Tomorrow, the unofficial introduction of Han, the best character in the franchise and the two short movies Turbo Charged and Los Bandoleros – an animated series and, word has it, several planned TV shows – Diesel said: “There Is A Particular Weight That Comes With Delivering A Finale.”
He finishes up by saying: “But through it all, one thing I know is, I can feel your support, and that means the world to me. So, let me get back to this filming, and just know that I hope to make you all proud.”

The full Fast & Furious story (so far):
The Fast and the Furious (2001), Better Luck Tomorrow (unofficial 2002), The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003 – short film), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), Los Bandoleros (2009 – short film), Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), F9 (2021), Fast X (2023) and now Fast and Furious: Fast Forever (2028). There’s also Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, which ran for six seasons from 2019 to 2021.
There’s no denying the impact the Fast & Furious franchise has had over the last years, starting off as a movie about dvd thieves and now having them in space and saving the world, and I can’t lie, while I consider myself a pretty serious movie fan, I do count this series in my guilty pleasure treasure trove and will be excited next year when the next instalment drops.
Fast Forever is currently due for March 17th, 2028, and there’s no word yet on the TV shows that are currently being developed,
