Wonder Woman’s mother, Hippoyta, has been cast in Warner/DC’s upcoming movie

January 16th, 2016 by Marc Comments

While it seemed a while back that Nicole Kidman was up for the role of Wonder Woman’s mum, it seems that a different choice has finally been made.

Yes, Hippoyta, the queen of the Amazons and mother of Princess Diana, aka Wonder Woman, will now be played by Gladiator’s Connie Nielsen.

It’s unknown at this time how big the role will be but we love this casting as Nielsen is a strong actress and we can really see her in this role.

What say you all?

The cast already includes Wonder Woman Gal Gadot along with Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, and Ewen Bremner.

Wonder Woman will be released June 23, 2017.
