One of the biggest disappointments in the Batman movie universe kicked off in 1989 by Tim Burton’s game changing Batman movie, was that, despite playing Harvey Dent in the movie, we never got to see Lando Calrissian himself, Billy Dee Williams play Two Face on the big screen.

To add insult to injury, Tommy Lee Jones went on to play Two Face in Batman Forever, thus ensuring Billy Dee would never paly the role.

We actually spoke to Billy Dee about this a few years ago (story continues after video):

Well, now, it seems we’ll finally get some idea of what his Two Face may have been like thanks to the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie.

Director Chris McKay has revealed that Williams will voice the villain in the movie.

We think that, while something of a small consolation, it’s a massive service to Williams and the fans that the actor will finally go into the history books having played the Batman villain. It’s a damned shame as his Harvey was one of the highlights of Burton’s movie…

Anyway, we’ll take what we can get and are looking forward to seeing his take on the character.

Let us know your thoughts.

Now, the world of bricks is back, but this time it’s LEGO Batman. Spinning a fun and irreverent tale on the dark comic book character, Will Arnett will return as the Caped Crusader. If you saw The Lego Movie, you’ll remember his hilarious take on Christian Bale’s ludicrously gravelly Batman voice (WHERE IS HE!?).

This version of Batman will come with Robin (Michael Cera), Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), The Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Yes, that’s right – we have Alan from The Hangover voicing the Clown Prince of Crime.

Directed by Chris McKay and written by Seth Grahame-Smith, The Lego Batman Movie also stars Ralph Fiennes doing the voice of Alfred Pennyworth, Mariah Carey as the Mayor and that’s all that’s known for now.

The Lego Batman Movie is due in cinemas on February 10, 2017.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
