Player Piano Hits the Right Note With Fans On Specially Designed Star Wars Pianos

LOS ANGELES, CA – Thursday, December 10th 2015 – In celebration of this year’s biggest cinematic event, Player Piano is excited to release its most EPIC video to date in honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The ten-minute musical spectacle is uniquely arranged and performed by film composer and concert pianist Sonya Belousova, and is directed by filmmaker Tom Grey. Player Piano’s Star Wars video rounds off what has been a phenomenal year for the incredibly popular digital series that has wowed pop culture fans, critics and judges alike with their gorgeously shot musical adventures including Doctor Who, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and The Walking Dead. John William’s incredible soundtrack from the Star Wars saga over the past four decades have brought to life some of our favorite moments of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and other characters from the galaxy. As the first notes are played by Sonya and the camera pulls back across space to reveal the stunning custom-made Millennium Falcon piano, fans will be sure to feel goose bumps as her original arrangement kicks in. This time, Player Piano has delivered not one but four breathtaking arrangements and performances including The Main Title, Duel of The Fates, The Imperial March and Princess Leia’s Theme, which Sonya plays across on a Millennium Falcon, a Vader Black and an R2D2 designed piano. What’s more, budding musicians will be able to download Sonya’s Star Wars sheet music from Music Notes

Sonya Belousova is one of today’s most exciting film composers and accomplished pianists. Most recently, she has composed for TWO BIT WALTZ starring Academy Award nominee William H. Macy; CHRISTMAS TRADE starring MTV Movie Award winner William Baldwin; HOW SARAH GOT HER WINGS starring Teen Choice nominee Derek Theler; as well as THE BOAT BUILDER starring Emmy Award winner Christopher Lloyd. She has also performed in the largest concert venues of both her native Russia and USA including Carnegie Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory. She has performed at the 2014 Golden Score Awards honoring Grammy Award winning arranger and producer Jorge Calandrelli and Academy Award winning composer, Michael Giacchino. As Player Piano she has wowed audiences at San Diego: Comic-Con (introduced by the legendary Stan Lee no less), and finally performed as a soloist on her original arrangements for a 70 piece live orchestra and choir at a sold out crowd at Anime Expo.
