Zachary Levi says Chuck movie is ‘still his goal’

One of the best TV shows to show love to us Nerds in recent memory has to be Chuck.

The series saw a lovable everyman, Chuck Bartowski, played by the equally lovable Zachary Levi, download a government database into his head, making him an instant superspy who went on weekly adventures with his handlers Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and his best friend Morgan (Joshua Gomez) and it was so much fun.

Full of nods, in-jokes and love for all the things we adore, Chuck is essential viewing if you haven’t already seen it.

And we have spent some time with the cast recently, from a fun meet-up (here) to a cast reading during the first lockdown (here) but it seems that, if he gets his way – and we hope he does – Levi wants a movie to finish off the Chuck story:

In the series we faced a bitter-sweet ending with Chuck and Sarah finally getting together before Sarah lost all memories of their relationship and it closed on the duo ambiguously looking off into the sunset… come what may.

And while it’s a fairly satisfactory ending, the tease that there’s more out there? Well, that’s a tantalising thought for anyone who ever went on the journey with these wonderful characters.

The idea that Shazam! star Levi is still pushing for a movie gives us some hope… now, let’s see if this snowball can’t gather momentum.
