Zack Snyder reveals images of Wayne T Carr filming Green Lantern scene for Justice League

May 2nd, 2021 by Marc Comments

Last month we learned that director Zack Snyder has filmed a scene with Wayne T Carr as Green Lantern John Stewart for his Justice League movie released in March on HBO Max (here).

We learned that the scene was filmed in his back yard and that they hadn’t the budget to create a full suit for the actor/character and it would have been CGI in the movie but, going forward, should another Justice League movie be made, it would be a physical suit.

Now Zack Snyder has shared new images of the filming of the scene on his Vero account (here).

And, yes, it does indeed should Snyder, Carr and the crew filming the scene in which Stewart approached Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. Now, of course, we know that Warners pulled the plug on the scene as they have plans for Green Lantern and due to this, Snyder replaced it with Harry Lennix’s Martian Manhunter.

Anyway, Snyder has said on his Vero that he doubt the scene will ever be completed and released, so this is probably the only time we’ll actually see Carr as Green Lantern. And that sucks, truth be told.

Anyways, check out the images below and let me know if you’d like to have seen Stewart in the movie… I know I would have loved it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
