Hasbro to offer personalisable Ghostbusters, Star Wars figures and more…

June 2nd, 2022 by Marc Comments

Have you ever wished you could have an action figure of yourself as part of your Star Wars collection, Ghostbusters collection or whatever you’re into? It’s ok, you can tell us… because we certainly have.

Well, thanks to Hasbro it looks like those dreams are about to come true… if you have the funds.

The so-called Selfie Series leaked online – exact release date unsure as of now – and it’s a dream come true for folks like us.

The line will feature Star Wars Black Series, GI Joe Classified, Power Rangers Lightning Collection, Marvel Legends and the Ghostbusters Plasma Series and will allow you to personalise a figure of your choice – from a select few – with your likeness thanks to an app that will allow you to scan your whole head

Each figure wears gloves so the only unique piece of the figure will be the head and face, which is, of course, fine and all the body types will be the same – so if you’re like me a rocking a few extra lbs, the figures will be kind on your shelf lol.

Currently the figures are reckoned to be $59.99 – likely £59.99 too and, as we said earlier, still no official word when they will be available and, given the uniqueness of the figures, we reckon they’ll only be available through the Hasbro Pulse website. But we’re not sure.

We’re anxiously awaiting the official announcement on these and while it’s currently looking like I’ll finally be a Ghostbuster, it’s not impossible that I could also be a Mandalorian. Decisions, decisions…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
