Loads of DC Collectibles on the way for September and October 2013

June 29th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

DC have announced a wealth of new items for September and October 2013. Coming our way are nineteen new items in total, these include the usual action figures and statues plus props and even a chess set. Many of the items were on display at Toy Fair 2013, however there are some surprises including a DC chess set sculpted by Gentle Giant, a new Supergirl Statue by artist Stanley Lau and a new DC comics’ bombshell bust of Poison Ivy sculpted by Tim Miller.

My favourites include the Justice League Chess Set sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios, this incredible chess set features your favourite super heroes and villains including Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Lex Luthor, Black Manta, The Joker, Cheetah, Sinestro and Reverse Flash (below). The pieces are intricately sculpted from high quality resin and their looks are captured from DC Comic’s the new 52. The set also includes a high quality wooden board with a metal trim. The chess board will retail at around £160 pounds and will be on sale from October 2013.

The DC Nation Aardman Action figure five pack (above) is another one of my favourite items. No Bat Fan’s collection would be complete without these funny little action figures based on the animated shorts created by the team behind Wallace and Gromit featured on the DC Nation programs shown on Cartoon Network. These figures will retail at around £50 for the set of five.

There is something for every fan in this package with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Watchmen, Aquaman and Green Lantern fans catered for, get your pre-orders in now – quality items like these won’t be around for long.
