A few weeks ago we reported on rumours that Keifer Sutherland, Jack Bauer himself, would probably not return to the role again in hit series 24 (here).
Now it seems that, despite Sutherland being unlikely to come back, the show itself may return sans Bauer.
At last week’s TCA presentation Fox Television Group chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman discussed the possibility of another series of 24: “[we] would love nothing more than to do another 24.”
“We have discussed it with him [Sutherland]. Potentially, he won’t be in this installment, we’re not sure yet. We’re not that far along but I know he supports us doing more 24. We’re not talking about continuing the show without him; we’re talking about whether there’s one installment that he’s not in.
They went on to say that the current ideas have room for Bauer should it go that way.
