We now have an official synopsis for the Agents of SHIELD spinoff series, Marvel’s Most Wanted, courtesy of ABC.

The series will focus on Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter (Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood) and it sees the ex-SHIELD agents in an unexpected place:

Marvel’s Most Wanted Centers on Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim the bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune (played by Delroy Lindo), a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.”

In the Marvel comics, Dominic Fortune is a retired mercenary and spy who just can’t seem to get out of the game. Morse and Hunter may be used to working in a more official capacity, but it sounds like Fortune, played by Delroy Lindo, won’t have any problems keeping the quarrelsome duo occupied.

Starring Adrianne Palicki, Nick Blood, Delroy Lindo and written and executive produced by Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, Marvel’s Most Wanted is slated to debut on ABC sometime this year.

So there you have it, with SHIELD’s admitted improvement this season, this might just be a series worth keeping an eye on.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
