The X-Files, Heroes, Prison Break, Full House; all of these series have been resurrected in recent years. We seem to be in a new age of television revivals. At this point, anything and everything is game for a return to television.
With all of this in mind, it seems that fans of one show in particular are demanding a revival. The series I am referring to is Charmed.
For those who are unaware, Charmed was a series that was meant to be competition for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show was about three witches, battling the forces of darkness.
However, it seems that a revival is not in the cards. This week, Alyssa Milano took to Twitter and said, “Nothing has been confirmed. CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That’s all I know for sure. With all the reunion shows it seems like Charmed would be a great choice since we have the most loyal and best fans ever. But… I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights”.
Overall, I think this statement does leave some hope for Charmed fans. While it does confirm that nothing is currently in the works, it does show that at least some of the cast is willing to return.
