Amazon are working on an Event Horizon TV series

August 7th, 2019 by Marc Comments

If someone asked me to name the one good movie Paul WS Anderson made, I’d have to say… Event Horizon.

And I’d not be alone.

His 1997 sci-fi horror is, to this day, a remarkable bit of cinema with an advanced spaceship called the Event Horizon having returned after even years missing somewhere beyond our universe and a team including Sam Neill and Lawrence Fishburne sent to revere it.

The problem is, the ship seems to have been in a hell-like dimension… and it’s brought something back with it.

Yes, it’s a haunted house in space movie but it’s elevated by an excellent cast, impressive direction and a hell of a lot of atmosphere.

And… it’s coming to Amazon as a TV series produced and directed  by Godzilla vs. Kong and Blair Witch director Adam Wingard.

How exactly Event Horizon will fit into a TV series is anyone’s guess… although, I’d like to see a prequel showing what happened the ship and crew when they vanished out of our dimension. Now THAT would be a hardcore bit of TV.

I want to hear your thoughts about Event Horizon on the small screen, folks…
