It’s Constantine all over again, really, isn’t it?
After Lucifer was cancelled by Fox last month, the fans have been tweeting #SaveLucifer all over the place and talks of the show being salvaged by The CW and numerous other studios have been floating around all over the place.
But now, someone may have thrown their hat in the ring (a little)… Amazon Studios.
Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke last week revealed that Lucifer is on their radar and talks ARE happening: “We were talking about Lucifer,” she said.
“I know that international, especially the UK group, was really bullish on that show, I haven’t checked in on that today , but I heard conversations were ongoing on that yesterday.”
However… Hulu has US SVOD rights to Lucifer’s first two seasons, which could make the transition difficult to Amazon, but if they really want to have Lucifer, they’ll be able to work it out, we’re sure.
It seems that the decision need to be reached by June 16th (saturday)… so Hulu, Amazon, The CW, Netflix, whoever, the clock is ticking.
