Oooof! Big changes ahead for The Walking Dead fans as we move closer to Season 9 on AMC.
How big, i hear you ask… well, how about the departure of arguably the two biggest characters in the show: Rick and Maggie.
First, we’re hearing that British actor Andrew Lincoln, who played main character Rick Grimes, is leaving, with only a half a dozen episodes left in the upcoming year. And, on top of that, we’re also hearing that Lauren Cohan who plays Maggie, will only be in six episodes too.
While there’s no word on how or why Lincoln is leaving, it seems that Cohan has been having a pay dispute with the makers and her ABC pilot Whiskey Cavalier has been ordered to series, so she has now got options.
On top of this, we’re hearing that Daryl Dixon will now be the lead in the series for the foreseeable future.
Em… yay?
