It’s always fun to see who certain people will play in superhero shows and movies. When the announcement that former Superman Dean Cain, and former Supergirl Helen Slater were cast in the new Supergirl series that’s coming to CBS, speculation ran wild.
Now, according to the show’s IMDB page, Cain and Slater may just be cast as…Kara’s Earth parents.
Yeah, I know, it’s a little on the nose. And in fact, it’s been done numerous times on numerous DC shows. Not the least of which was Flash with the original Flash John Wesley Shipp playing Barry’s dad in the CW series!
However, given how well that one is working out, I guess we shouldn’t judge too harshly if this is true. Which for the record, has not been confirmed yet.
I will say this though, how many people can say their “dad” was Superman? That’s what I thought.
