We learned a few weeks back that Zack Snyder’s upcoming Army of the Dead is set for a much wider universe with not just a prequel movie but a CGI anime prequel series too (here).
And now Netflix have revealed the full cast for the series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, and, there’s no denying it, it’s a cracking line-up:
The series will star Joe Manganiello (Justice League) as Rose, Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) as Torrance, Vanessa Hudgens (Tick Tick… Boom!) as Willow, Harry Lennix (The Blacklist) as Boorman, Anya Chalotra (The Witcher) as Lucilia, Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why) as Chen, Jena Malone (Antebellum) as Zeta, Yetide Badaki (American Gods) as Queen Meeru, Christina Wren (Man of Steel) as Nicole, Monica Barbaro (The Good Cop) as Meagan and Nolan North (Star Trek: Lower Decks) as Clemenson.
This cast will join the movie’s cast of Dave Bautista, Ana de la Reguera, Tig Notaro, Omari Hardwick and Ella Purnell who will all reprise their roles.
Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, will tell the story of the rescue team (in the image above) from the movie and how they survived during the initial outbreak of the zombie virus. Snyder will direct two episodes of the series which will be showrun by Batman: The Dark Knight Returns’ Jay Olivia.
Are you excited for the new zombie universe? Let me know, folks…
