So we’ve been giddily reporting on Stephen Amell’s efforts to get Constantine renewed and – even better – integrated into the Arrow and Flash TV universe (here).

Well, now Marc Guggenheim, Arrow Executive Producer, has confirmed that right now Constantine is a BIG part of the plans at Arrow moving forward… providing they can make it work.

Over to you, Mr Guggenheim:

“It’s something we’ve discussed a great deal. I think there’s a lot of desire on our part as writers and also on the actor’s part which is also a prerequisite. I think the studio and DC would be on board with it. I think the tricky thing for us with the show’s fate up in the air, it complicates things for us a bit. We’re waiting for all the dust to settle and the pieces to fall into place but it’s something that continues to come up.

“We’ve had a lot of discussions in the writer’s room about it. We have a lot of really good ideas, one in particular that I think is really fantastic. If it’s feasible and it remains organic to the story, it’s absolutely something we would do. You know. There are certain things that are out of our control and need to be resolved before we go that route.”

We’re guessing the particular idea he’s talking about is the one Amell mentioned (in the link above) that would have Constantine linked to The Lazarus Pit.

We really hope this happens… what about you guys?

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
