Ok Attack on Titan fans, it’s time to rejoice because we finally know when the second season of the manga series is coming, thanks to the official site!

It will return next spring!

According to CBR: “Produced by Wit Studio, the adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s bestselling manga concluded its first season on Sept. 29, 2013. The eagerly anticipated second season was initially announced in November 2014 for sometime in 2016. However, it didn’t take long for rumors to circulate that the new season wouldn’t hit that target — which was effectively confirmed earlier this year by “Attack on Titan’s” Spanish distributor.

“According to Crunchyroll, the series’ staff will return for Season 2, but with Tetsuro Araki assuming the role of chief director, and Masashi Koizuka becoming episode director.”

The official site also released the below image from the new series and it has us excited as heck. But it’s been some wait for this, hasn’t it? Let’s hope it holds up…

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
