The popular Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD returns with the debut of two new animated series. Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, which continues the exciting adventures of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow and newcomer Falcon.

The other show is Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. which features the Incredible Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, A-Bomb and Skaar.

They were announced today by David Levine, VP and GM, Disney XD Worldwide and Jeph Loeb, Executive VP & Head of Television, Marvel Entertainment. Kicking off the marvelous summer programming is a special one-hour preview of “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” on Sunday, May 26, followed by the series premiere on Sunday, July 7. “Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents S.M.A.S.H.” premieres Sunday, August 11 (all at 11:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Marvel Universe on Disney XD.

I’m not sure about the Hulk show. A team with essentially 5 Hulks? That is a lot smash! I want to see how Avengers Assemble plays out, I loved Avengers: EMH and I know I wasn’t the only one. This show appears to take on more of the feel of the cinematic Avengers. (Check out Hawkeye) This can be used as a crossover vehicle in the future. They’re already using it to get us used to Falcon as an Avenger. How do you guys feel about these two shows?
