Black Flash may return to The CW’s DC TV Universe in a BIG way…

It looks like we haven’t seen the last of Black Flash in the Arrowverse on The CW.

The character, played by Teddy Shears in The Flash was known as Jay Garrick and then Hunter Solomon but ultimately he was the villainous Black Flash.

And his final appearance on the show (above) was delightfully scary… and here’s the best part – he’s coming back and not just to Flash, we could see him in Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and – given he is a speedster, maybe even Supergirl.

Executive produce Andrew Kreisberg had this to say about the character: “[Black Flash] is a classic character. We have storylines on multiple shows that fit having him around. There’s something so scary about him, something even scarier than when he was just the man, because now it’s now he is the Grim Reaper, he is the devil. How do you stop the devil? So it presents an interesting challenge for the heroes of the respective shows in which he appears.”

The only problem we can see is that Shears is now committed to 24: Legacy, so it’s unlikely we’ll see him with a lightning bolt on his chest anytime soon; that said, if he continues to look like that (above) – and we really hope he does – it could be anyone under that cowl.

Let us know if you want to see Black Flash return.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
