Get ready for the new daily show

Black Lightning star Nafessa Williams says she thinks they will cross into the Arrowverse, after one thing…

With Black Lightning currently on a mid-season break, we were all sort of hoping beyond hope that we may have seen the characters from The CW’s show come into the annual crossover event in December, Elseworlds, but alas, it wasn’t to be this year.

However, star Nafessa Williams who plays Thunder AKA Anissa Pierce, believes there’s a chance we will eventually see the shows crossover, deviate being very different worlds.

We have speculated before that the shows may be in a place where they could crossover and we have also speculated that with next year’s crossover event revealed as Crisis on Infinite Earths, the world shattering event that changed DC Comics forever, we may yet see it all happen.

“We always get the question of crossing over,” Williams says, “and I think the storyline would have to make complete sense for us to do that because we live in a different universe as the Arrowverse.

“We would love to do a crossover, but I think it’s about a way of making it make sense. And also there are a lot of great characters on our show that we’re just being able to flesh out like Jennifer and Lightning. So the focus has been on developing the characters on our show first, I believe.

Is there anyone in the other corners of the Arrowverse she’d like to meet: “Yeah, I’ve been hearing about this Ruby Rose and Batwoman. That would be really, really cool. I would like to explore that maybe.”

So… it could happen but only when the universe is better established? We reckon Black Lightning has its own corner of the Arrowverse well established… it’s time to bring these worlds together.

Crisis? Crisis.
