We reported a couple of weeks ago that The Punisher may well be on Netflix’s agenda of Marvel shows (here)… but now we’re hearing rumours that it is happening already.
The guys at Vigilantist are reporting that they have it on good authority that it’s happening and, while clearly this is rumour and nothing more right now, we reckon this is on the cards, given the dark tone of Daredevil and just how successful it proved:
“Marvel and Netflix have started to design Phase 2 of their Netflix shows our sources tell us. They also tell us that one of their focuses will be on Frank Castle’s The Punisher [which] makes sense for Netflix there’s not as many restrictions and they could definitely could make it more grittier than Daredevil.”
We’ll keep you up-to-date as more news breaks or anything solid appears. But, like you all I’m sure, we’re excited about this potential development.
