More DC TV goodness is coming…
Not enough that The CW are bringing us the Arrowverse, the the DC Universe streaming service has numerous shows planned and Fox’s Gotham is still running, with an Alfred Pennyworth show planned, but now CBS are jumping in.
Now, CBS briefly were involved in the DC TV universe with Supergirl, but when that failed at the network, The CW stepped in an took it under their wing, so there’s probably not a lot of confidence in CBS developing a Secret Six series which has been given a pilot order.
Secret Six is the story of a bunch of ever-revolving misfits who gather together to do missions for a shadowy figure who is blackmailing them to work to expose the corruption of the corporate and political elite.
The team has featured Catman, Bane, Deadshot, Kingshark, Harley and many more, which makes us wonder why The CW isn’t doing it as they have already brough several members to life.
And yes, this is basically another version of Suicide Squad.
Rick Muirragui will write and executive produce, with Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold executive producing via Doozer Productions. Warner Bros. Television, where Doozer is under an overall deal, will produce.
So, a Secret Six series, huh?
We’ll not get too excited yet.. but we are curious.
Let us know your thoughts, guys.
