Christopher Lloyd back as Doc Brown with the DeLorean time machine for new documentary

October 23rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

What?! No, really, what?!

We have right here images of Christopher Lloyd dressed as Doc Brown from Back to the Future filming beside the iconic DeLorean time machine and we’re quietly freaking out here!

Now, we know the filming is for a four part mini-documentary for the Discovery Channel which is set for release next year, but we’re still not exactly sure what the documentary is about… but it looks like we’re getting more Doc Brown… and that’s never a bad thing.

The filming took place on October 15th at Puente Hill’s Mall, where the opening of the original movie was filmed.

We know that the rest of the cast – as in the entire cast –  are due to film towards the end of this month in New York.

We’re also hearing that a lot of stuff has already been filmed involving the DeLorean as well as Doc’s old van from the first movie as well as scenes at the Delorean Motor Company with Leah Thompson and Christopher Lloyd together.

Expedition Unknown’s Josh Gates will be hosting this special which apparently will be airing in January or February.

Check out the teaser below:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
