Damon Wayans has quit the Lethal Weapon TV series

October 4th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Oh, man… when is Lethal Weapon not Lethal Weapon? When it’s not Riggs and Murtaugh!

It’s not that long ago that we reported that the Lethal Weapon TV series had to get rid of Riggs, actor Clayne Crawford over his behaviour on set (check out the NSFW video below) and replaced him with Seann William Scott as a new character to partner up to Damon Wayans’ Murtaugh.

Well, now it seems that Wayans is leaving now too albeit under different circumstances.

The actor told Eurweb that he will finish the current filming block and then he’s finished: “I’m going to be quitting the show in December after we finish the initial 13,” Wayans said.

“So I really don’t know what they’re planning, but that’s what I’m planning. I’m a 58-year-old diabetic and I’m working 16-hour days.”

He added: “I’m done. Like Murtaugh said, I’m too old for this.

“I’m going to return to the stage and try to find my smile again.”

What lies ahead for the show now? Well, we don’t want to speculate but honestly, it doesn’t look good, does it?

Here’s why Crawford was fired – there’s a caution on this for a reason by the way:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
