It would seem that you truly can’t take the sky from Gina Torres… and we’ll always be glad for that.
In any case, it has been revealed in the credits to the show, Star Wars: Rebels, that Gina Torres, best known as Zoe on the cult show Firefly, appeared in this week’s Star Wars Rebels episode entitled Blood Sisters.
Torres played Ketsu Onyo, a Bounty Hunter and a friend of Sabine Wren.
Little else is known about the character, but hopefully we will learn more as the weeks go on. Honestly though, it is nice to see the Firefly cast returning to a sci-fi setting. Lets not forget that Alan Tudyk will also be making an appearance in the Star Wars Universe, in a role in the upcoming Rogue One.
All in all, I really like this news. Star Wars: Rebels is a show that I keep meaning to get into, but I keep putting it off consistently. Hopefully this will be the drive I need to get me to watch it.
