Good news for Disney fans with fond memories of The Disney Afternoon, the afternoon cartoon block that ruled them all. According to a new report from Deadline, Disney XD has ordered a new animated series based on the ‘toon that anchored them all, Ducktales, whoo ooo! ( Sorry, I couldn’t resist).
The show, which is slated to hit the air in 2017, already has the same robust cast confirmed for the reboot. At the center of the show will be Scrooge McDuck; grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and, of course, Donald Duck.
Aside from the main cast, we will also see many familiar faces return, such as Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, villains Ma Beagle and sons the Beagle Boys, Launchpad McQuack and of course, the lovable Webbigail Vanderquack.
If you are in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, but can’t wait the two years, classic episodes of Duck Tales can be found using the app WATCH Disney Channel.
Now, if we could just get the Darkwing Duck and Tale Spin reboots in the works (no love for Chip and Dale? – Ed)
