More exciting news for fans of Stephen King as his son, Joe Hill, is getting another of his awesome works brought to our TV screens.
Why is this good news for King fans? Well, the work in question is the book NOS4A2, which tells the story of a young artist who has a seemingly psychic link to the monstrous Charlie Manx, a vampire-like creature who feeds on the souls of children and which also (apart from being superb) is set firmly in the world of Stephen King’s books, with the novel containing links to, among other things, IT and The Dark Tower.
Hill also has his superb comic series Lock & Key coming to our screens soon too (here).
Anyway, where were we… oh, yeah.
So, a NOS4A2 TV series is coming from AMC and will star Olafur Darri Olafsson (Lady Dynamite), Virginia Kull (The Looming Tower) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Punisher) and it was created by showrunner Jami O’Brien (Fear The Walking Dead, Hell On Wheels). It’s set for debut in 2019.
Olafsson will play Bing Partridge, a hard worker with a mysterious past and an impressionable mind. Kull is Linda McQueen, Vic’s tough, blue-collar mom determined to hold her family together and protect her daughter. Moss-Bachrach portrays Chris McQueen, Vic’s charming, blue-collar dad with a weakness for drink but a deep love for his daughter.
Still no word on who will play the terrifying Charlie Manx… we’ll await that casting with baited breath.
