We’ve known for a while that Ash Vs Evil Dead would have the most inspired piece of casting we’ve ever heard with Lee Majors playing Ash’s dad…
And now we have an image!
Yes, the former Fall Guy will by Mr Williams Snr in the new season of the show and we think he looks so good we actually think he may be Bruce Campbells dad!
As for the show, Campbell reveals that he may get the easier end of the stick this season: “Pablo’s got a crazy journey this year,” says Campbell.
“The stuff he goes through makes my life seem easy. I think we’re going to find out that he’s not just Ash’s sidekick. I don’t think Ray had any idea what was coming. Some of the horrors that await Pablo…”
So how do we meet his dad? “We find Ash right where he wants to be: having keggers, and hanging with chicks, and living the good life in Jacksonville,” says Campbell.
“He’s through with all this business. No strings on him. And what could possibly go wrong, right? [Well] things go massively wrong… things turn south, so the team has to turn north. [This season] it’s ‘Ash goes home.’”
Ash vs Evil Dead returns to Starz in October just in time for Halloween and we think that’s pretty damned fitting.
