Look out folks, because the Transformers animated world is about to get a little more grown up!
We reported a while ago that Machinima were bringing us a new Transformers series called Transformers: Combiner Wars and it will be aimed at fans who grew up with the Gen 1 stuff in the 80s – in other words guys and gals in their 30s and up.
You and me (probably).
So the show will be based on the sub-section of Transformers called Combiners – like Devastator, Bruticus and Defensor – massive robots made up of a group of smaller bots who fight each other, usually for Cybertron or Earth, depending on where the story is set.
We’re hearing the new series will feature a load of new characters plus classic characters too – that’s Starscream above), so we’re guessing there’s a good chance this fits into the Gen 1 continuity.
The show will be released in August on go90 with a four-episode prequel mini-series on June 28th across go90, YouTube and Facebook.
We are definitely looking forward to this! Are you?
