First poster and images drop for Netflix’s The Witcher

July 1st, 2019 by Marc Comments

The first official images are here for Netflix’s The Witcher series starring the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill and it’s taking shape nicely.

The poster (above) looks suitable atmospheric and the images (below) give us our first look at Henry Cavill’s Geralt along with Anya Cholatra’s Yennefer and Freya Allan’s Ciri.

Check them all out and let me know your thoughts.

The Witcher series will follow the original book series by AndrzejSapkowski, Henry Cavill will be playing the lead character Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan will be playing Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.

The cast also includes Jodhi May (Game of Thrones) as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson (Fortitude) as her husband the knight Eist, Adam Levy (Knightfall) as the druid Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as the head of the magical academy at Aretuza Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers, and Millie Brady as the outcast Princess Renfri.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, “THE WITCHER” is an epic tale of fate and family.  Be among the first to get the exclusive scoop on the highly anticipated new Netflix original series centering around famed monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia. Be introduced to the world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.

It is expected to arrive this Fall.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
