To say Ash Vs. Evil Dead is getting good reviews would be the understatement of the year. While I have not watched it myself (I prefer to watch series in box sets), I am incredibly excited to see it.

However, viewers of this show have noticed an item, belonging to one of the most famous horror icons of all time, decorating the wall. In the season finale of the show, you can clearly see Freddy Krueger’s glove hanging on a wall.

This is somewhat of a tradition of the Evil Dead Franchise, as the same glove can be seen on a wall in Evil Dead 2. According to an article by Bloody Disgusting, the glove’s presence in Evil Dead 2 was part of a game of one-upsmanship between Sam Raimi and Wes Craven. Its presence in the new series is meant to be a tribute to this.

With this appearing in the show, we have also seen a clamouring from the fanbase to see Freddy fight Ash. The strange thing though is that this almost happened. When Freddy Vs. Jason was being released; a sequel was already in the works. However, due to a disappointing box office, the film was cancelled. That film was Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash. Although it did become a six-part comic series.

While the film was never released, it was later adapted into a comic. I think I might go read that now… Groovy.
