Marvel’s Agent Carter has found its male lead, as Shea Whigham will play “tough but fair-minded” SSR Chief Roger Dooley, according to Den of Geek.
Whigham should be recognisable to lots of folk out there, seeing as he held the long-term role of Eli in Boardwalk Empire, as well as popping up reoccurringly in True Detective as Joel Theriot, and appearing on the big screen in Non-Stop, The Wolf Of Wall Street and Fast & Furious 6 last year.
Considering how Whigham has shone in all of his previous roles, we’re looking forward to seeing him as Agent Carter’s boss when the series debuts on ABC in January 2015 during the season 2 mid-season break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
