Geoff Johns Teasing More DC Shows?

September 25th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

It’s easy to see that we are in a renaissance of sorts when it comes to superhero TV shows. We have Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Gotham, and Agents of Shield. And now, we have confirmation of a Supergirl TV show, and a possible Teen Titans show, with four Marvel series set to hit Netflix starting next year. Yet, if Geoff Johns is to be believed, there might be in more on the horizon.

The CCO (Chief Creative Officer) of DC Comics spoke with Adweek about the upcoming slate of DC shows, and all the fun little things fans might find in them:

“We love Easter eggs, but we really want to try and do more than Easter eggs,” Johns said. “The fact that Doctor Fate’s helmet is in there is a plot line. Same with [super-intelligent evil gorilla] Grodd [in The Flash]. We’re introducing Jim Corrigan [The Spectre] in Constantine.”

Now, onto the fun tidbit, are more shows on the horizon?

“What you’ll see embedded in Flash and Arrow is that we’ll have the ability to test characters out. Is there room to grow them into the next show? I cannot tell you yet. There are discussions going on.”

Sounds good to us! DC has been on a roll, Arrow is great and we can’t wait for season 3. We’ve seen the pilot for Flash (review will come soon) and talked about it here! And we reviewed the premiere of Gotham, which we gave a 4/5! So yeah, DC’s on a roll, we’ll see what else happens, and be here to let you know about it he moment it arrives!
