If, like me and the gang here are FTN HQ, you’re obsessed with Severance, then I have a treat for you tonight.

One of the biggest storylines of the show involves a book, The You You Are, written by Dr Ricken Lazlo Hale, PhD which finds its way into Lumon and inadvertently leads to a revolution.

Ricken is also a character in the series, played wonderfully by Michael Chernus, and he’s, well, he’s not the messiah figure that the employees of Lumo think he is and, honestly, that’s part of the genius of this series.

Stiller, Erickson discuss the future of Severance and how a New York publicity stunt is canon to the story

Anyway, look, I could talk about this show all night, but the drive of this article is that you can now download on PDF or audiobook, eight chapters of The You You Are and if you, like me, love a good audiobook, then I’m delighted to tell you it’s narrated by Ricken himself!

Apple promises the chapters – ‘Name, Name, Go Away’, ‘Good God?’, ‘A Coitus Among Us’, ‘Destiny, An Acrostic Poem Experience by the Author, Ricken Hale’, ‘Wait, What Was That?’ and ‘Wounds Unhealed’ – will take ‘you on a brave journey of self-learnedness. Fertile with mind-engorging insights, ‘The You You Are’ is an invitation to merge with your true ‘You,’ and expel from your essence the dead-eyed conventionalism that has defined your life since infancy.’

So, once you have read all my latest articles on here, go spend some time with Ricken, you’ll not regret it.

WATCH: Full trailer arrives for Severance season 2!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
