Guillermo Del Toro working on a Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series

January 18th, 2016 by James Campbell Comments

Guillermo Del Toro is certainly setting up quite a few projects at the moment. As of this moment in time, one has to begin to wonder if any of these projects will begin to fade away. However, now we have another announcement in the form of an adaptation of the book series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is part of a trilogy of folklore horror stories retold by Alvin Schwartz, coupled with eldritch illustrations by Stephen Gammell.

Overall, information on the project is incredibly scarce at the moment, so there is not much that can be talked about, but the announcement the Del Toro is working on something, always requires the full attention of film fans.

My name is James and I am a long time fan of Movies, TV and Comics. I am currently a student, wrapping up my education at Aberystwyth University. I have an undergraduate degree in film and television and I’m working on my Masters in scriptwriting. My personal favourite comic character is the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and I view the film adaptation as one of the most horrifying experiences I have had in a movie theatre. As far as film and television go, I am usually willing to give any genre a try, as long as the project is well executed.
