With Game of Thrones coming into its final two seasons, it’s no surprise that HBO are looking to the future and are reluctant to let the show end.

And we’ve heard several times before that a prequel series or movie was happening, but it always looked like it was just fans hoping.

Until now.

HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys has confirmed they and creator George R.R. Martin are in talks about creating a prequel series: “I would say it’s still kind of preliminary ongoing talks,” he says.

“There are areas we are exploring, but I wouldn’t point to any one and say, ‘This is what we’re going to do.’”

Now obviously Martin has created a rich world full of history and richness, so were not going to guess what story they’d tell – cough Mad King cough – but what ever it i, count us in!

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
