HBO Max’s Green Lantern series finds its Alan Scott

It looks like we have another Green Lantern to join Finn Wittrock’s Guy Gardner in HBO Max’s upcoming Green Lantern series.

Warhorse and Treadstone star Jeremy Irvine will play Green Lantern Alan Scott, a Lantern from the 1940s who was recently – in the comics – reintroduced as a character from the 2000s.

Scott is an openly gay hero in the comics, so it’s likely this will continue in the new series too.

The series is expected to be the home of several Lanterns and, with Gardner and Scott both cast now, it looks like this will be the case.

Just, come on, the show is produced by the Arrowverse’s Greg Berlanti and we recently learned that, despite years of build-up/anticipation, David Ramsey’s John (Stewart) Diggle will probably not suit up (here), so surely we can see Ramsey cast here as John Stewart? It would make sense and still allow the show to stand on its own. Just sayin’.
