It looks like the man himself, Ian McDiarmid, is returning to the Star Wars franchise as Emperor Palpatine.
The Emperor has appeared in The Clone Wars animates series, voiced originally by Ian Abercrombie then Tim Curry, then Sam Witwer in Star Wars Rebels… but with the series approaching its final run of episodes, it seems the man who originally brought Emperor Palpatine to life is set to star in the role one more time.
Witwer, who also voiced Darth Maul in Rebels and is the face and voice of Galen Marek from the Force Unleashed games, has been having fun on twitter teasing McDairmid’s return (below).
No word on when all this will happen but you know you’ll be tuning in anyway…
It is with *extreme fanboy glee* that I will answer the question–
Am I voicing Palpatine in Rebels Season 4?
No, I am not
!!!See, they found this guy who does it juuust a fair bit better than I do, by any estimation.
An actor I greatly admire.#caretoguess?!!!!!!
