Could FTN favourite Jason Statham be set to become a Marvel villain?

The latest rumour online is that Statham, star of The Transporter and Expendables movie, is set for season 2 of Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil series… as Bullseye.

Fans will remember that Colin Farrell played Bullseye in the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie.

Apparently the actor has been at Marvel’s new TV production offices already: “Our spies spotted him meeting with Marvel personnel earlier this week while taking a break from the press tour for Spy. Aside from Bullseye, other villainous characters who are said to appear in Daredevil’s highly-anticipated second season include Mr Fear, Mysterio (one of Spider-Man’s iconic rogues), and Elektra – Daredevil’s eventual love interest.”

Also, it seems that Daredevil Season 2 will start filming at the end of this month and not in the Fall as previously reported, for airing in 2016.

What say you? Is Statham a good fit for Bullseye? Personally, I think that he can play the physical side of the role with ease and, despite what many believe, he is a good actor, although he seems to gravitate towards brainless action nowadays. I think he’d be a good choice, bit I’m thinking that I may stand alone in the fan community.

What say you?
