With Daredevil well under way filming, we’ve all been waiting with baited breath to hear who from Marvel’s Defenders would be cast next… and it looks like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are almost there.

The short-list for Jessica Jones seems to be Breaking Bad’s Krysten Ritter, Percy Jackson and True Detective’s Alexandra Daddario, Warm Bodies actress Teresa Palmer and Arrow’s own Huntress Jessica De Gouw.

Jones is the second series based around the Marvel comics that will hit Netflix – she is a retired crime-fighter who runs a detective agency that aides superheroes… it’s not clear if this will be what we see in the TV series though.

In related news, Luke Cage will be the fourth series and it seems that, if rumours are to be believed, there’s two choices still in the running for that role: Crisis actor Lance Gross and The Following’s Mike Colter. Cage will cameo in a few episodes of the Jones series before picking up his own show. This means that Marvel are still looking to cast Iron Fist for the third series.

Another name has been added to the Powerman/Luke Cage list according to Comicbookmovie:

Cleo Anthony (below) is an actor known for Divergents and The Morning after. He’s a virtual unknown… will Marvel go that way? Well, they are all about the actor and the role so why not?

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
