Ugh. Look, we liked Powerless, ok? We’re not ashamed. It took a few episodes to get going but it had the promise of becoming a very fun and relevant part of the DC TV universe.
Alas, it looks like it’ll not happen.
With the show’s ninth episode having just aired, the show has now been pulled from NBC’s Thursday night spot, being replaced with Superstore (don’t worry, we have no idea what that is either).
While nothing definite has been announced, the show never really got the ratings expected and sadly with every episode the numbers dropped, so it looks like this is truly the kiss of death.
Which is a pity because the gang really had potential to be comedy gold, given enough time.
Did you watch the show? Let us know…
In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as the Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss, Van Wayne (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.
Powerless debuts on Thursday, February 2nd.
