So, three seasons in an The Flash is still probably our favourite comic book TV show. However, even we will admit it’s not perfect.
One of the main issues with the show is that all the villains so far have been speedsters and with a show that features Flash, Kid Flash, Jess Quick and Jay Garrick, there’s definitely a lot of whizzing around.
However, it seems that next season, as we reported some time ago, it seems next season will feature a villain who doesn’t run really, really fast.
Word is that the villain will be Clifford DeVoe AKA The Thinkerw whose first mention in the show was actually in March when TheFlash fought Abra Kadabra who said he knew all of The Flash’s greatest villains: “There’s Thawne, Zoom, DeVoe… but none of them hurt you like Savitar.”
And in the recent season finale Savitar – the villain of the season – was in STAR Labs and told Barry and team Flash that “This is where we came up with the cerebral inhibitor… to use against DeVoe.” before telling Flash that “You haven’t gotten there yet.”
In the comics, DeVoe is a legal eagle-turned-supervillain who wields technologically derived telekinesis and mind control. The Thinker has been the genius mastermind behind the works of other criminals, as well as a onetime recruit of the Suicide Squad.
So, what do you, ahem, think of this choice? It would certainly make for a different outing for the Scarlett Speedster.
