If anyone is excited about Supergirl’s new home on the CW it’s director and nerd extraordinaire Kevin Smith.

Not only is he excited about the new power packed line up of DC shows, he’d even be willing to step in and direct an episode of Supergirl.

Speaking on his podcast Fat Man On Batman, Smith not only said he’d love to direct an episode of Arrow, as well as Supergirl, he even let slip an idea he had for a crossover between Supergirl and The Flash. His idea? Just borrow Grant for like a scene and run in and give her ice cream.

Having already directed an episode of The Flash In season two, look for Smith to return again as he’s already slated to direct the seventh episode of the upcoming season three. Of course, given that he’s not only well versed in DC comics lore, he’s actually written them, including a very popular run of Green Arrow, it would be great to see him more involved with the CW’s other DC shows as well.

Look for a slew of premieres this fall as The Flash returns for its third season Tuesday, October 4th at 8pm, Arrow season five on Wednesday the 5th, Supergirl season two on Monday, October 10th, and Legends of Tomorrow season two on Thursday, October 13th.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
