So a while ago we were teased that Gotham Season 5 would make a leap in the season finale ten years into the future.
Furthermore, we were told by producer John Stephens “the Final episode, episode 10 [it has since been given two more episodes, so it will be episode 12], is set 10 years into the future so will get to see the pointy ear character arrive. Taking this into consideration I can only imagine we will see many of the characters we all love, get to be in their final incarnations in the series finale when it airs.”
And from these new set images, he wasn’t messing around! It looks like Richard Lord Taylor as Penguin and Corey Michael Smith as Riddler are taking the show to a whole new comic book level.
Seriously, look at these images… it’s as if the 1960s incarnations walked onto a Zack Snyder set! And we love it!
It’s mind-blowing that Gotham seemed to start out trying to be a serious-toned police drama and as we move into the final season in January, it has gone totally nuts and too a deep dive into the lore.
We tip our hats guys and can’t wait to see Batman go up against his greatest foes. It’s a pity it’ll only be the finale though.
Can they move to the Arrowverse? Only kidding.
But… can they? Please?
