Marvel/Hulu animated M.O.D.O.K series cast revealed

January 23rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

You may recall that sometime ago – a year, give or take – Marvel and Hulu announced an animated MCU universe that was set to kick off with M.O.D.O.K starring (and exec produced by) Patton Oswalt as the lead Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing (see what they did there?).

Basically a massive floating brain that kills people. Because… comics.

Anyway, more cast has been announced now with Aimee Garcia playing M.O.D.O.K.’s wife, Jodie, who owns her own “mommy-blog turned lifestyle-brand empire” while M.O.D.O.K’s company, Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M) is starting to fall apart.

Ben Schwartz will play Lou, M.O.D.O.K’s  12-year-old son. Melissa Fumero will play M.O.D.O.K.’s 17-year-old daughter, Melissa who “has inherited her father’s “features,” but she’s still a very popular high school student and an ice skating star who secretly wants her father’s approval”.

Wendi McLendon-Covey will play Monica Rappaccini, M.O.D.O.K.’s rival who buys out his company. The two form an uneasy alliance but “will constantly betray each other”.

Beck Bennet plays Austin Van Der Sleet, M.O.D.O.Ks new boss after Monica’s company and GRUMBL, finishes the deal.

Jon Daly is M.O.D.O.K.’s sarcastic android servant, Super Adaptoid, who wants to screw M.O.D.O.K over and take the company.

Sam Richardson is set to play Gary, a henchmen for M.O.D.O.K. and A.I.M who has a weirdly sunny outlook on everything.

It’s looking likely the show will arrive, kicking off this new animated universe, sometime in 2020.

Honestly, from the sounds of it, this could be a seriously off-the-wall comedy series similar to the super Harley Quinn which currently airs on DC Universe and the Deadpool series that was almost made a few years ago.

It’s amazing how many formats the things we love can take these days and how exciting they all are… let’ hope this one hits the mark.

Are you excited? Let me know…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
