Hot on the heels of the news that Ian McShane had been cast in Game of Thones Season six, it seems a true Hollywood legend has signed up too, reports EW…
The great Max von Sydow has signed on to the HBO show to play… ready? The Three-Eyed Raven, the mystical tutor of Bran Stark.
The character was seen briefly at the end of season four, played by a different actor.
Von Sydow is an actor in such movies as The Exorcist, Minority Report, Flash Gordon and Star Wars: The Force Awakens and brings an awesome amount of gravitas to everything he does.
It is believed that, like McShane, Von Sydow will not have much screen time but there will be a large part of the story pivoting on them both.
This is an awesome bit of casting as we love Von Sydow in everything, so his inclusion in Game of Thrones will be greatly welcomed.
The series is expected to return for 10 episodes next spring.
