While the introduction of Jerome (above) in Gotham has received mixed reactions from fans, it looks like the show isn’t going to forget The Joker anytime soon.

Executive producer Bruno Heller has been talking about comics’ most famous bad guy and has made it clear that there’ll be more exploring done early in Season 2: “You’re not going to see teases of The Joker before the end of the season, because the beginning of Season Two is a big Joker-oriented, or ‘how the Joker came to be’ kind of story.

“The beginning of Season Two is the very earliest origins of how The Joker came to be.”

Wether or not this means Jerome will be back or maybe he was a deliberate misdirection is unknown, but we’re curious to see what they’ll do with the character.

Oh and, at the very opposite side of the Batman story, did next week’s episode preview just hint at The Batcave?
