After making a triumphant return last year we’d heard lots of rumours that The X-Files was set to be a semi-ongoing thing and now it seems like it is indeed.
EW are reporting that Mulder and Scully, AKA David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, are probably coming back for 2018.
At the Television Critics Association’s press tour FOX president David Madden said that the actors’ schedules make the deal a big tricky but that an announcement should be forthcoming fairly soon as he had hoped and announcement would already have been made but it’s proving a little difficult.
It’s good to see FOX are putting the effort in to line the show up for the two stars, after all, it’s not the X-Files without Mulder and Scully.
It’s also believed that the new series will be longer than the six episodes we got last year but won’t be a full 22 episode season either.
Are you excited to see The X-Files back? Do you still want to believe?
